We have amazing fall weather in Michigan and so many great seasonal activities to enjoy! Whether it is pumpkins, apples or Halloween…there are many traditions associated with this season. Here are some of our recommendations for October Activities to experience with your friends and family.

All ages welcome.
Admission is $1.00 per person per trip.
Join us for a journey of thrills and chills through the historical horse stalls that are overtaken by friendly and scary monsters and ghosts (based on age request). Great fun for groups of children and families!

Harvest Hike & Hunt – October Activities

When: Saturday, October 14th 3 p.m.
Where: Rotary Park (6 Mile and Hubbard)
Fee: $6.00 Resident; $9.00 Non-Resident

Join us for an afternoon of friendly fun! Families will enjoy a hike and scavenger hunt through the nature trails, where kids will gather items to be used in creating wands and enchanted fairy homes out of sticks, leaves, and bark.
Fall-themed refreshments will be available. Advance tickets are required and may be purchased starting Tuesday, September 5th at the Parks and Recreation desk.

Kids Night Out! – October Activities

Who:    Ages 5-12
When:  October 20th
6 – 10 p.m.
Where: Kirksey Recreation Center

FRIDAY NIGHTS ROCK!  Parents, enjoy a night to yourselves while we provide food and entertainment for your children.  Every third Friday of the month your kids will have a blast in the leisure pool, rock climbing, playing games, watching a movie, eating pizza and pop.  Send your kids off to have fun while you relax and take a much-deserved break.  Pre-registration required.  Register now!  Limit 40 per night – spots fill quickly!

Check-in begins at 5:45 p.m.
