Fun Family Activities For Livonia in June 2019
Here are some fun family activities for the month of June! We love to share with you events in our hometown. We love being a part of the Livonia Community!
Run 2 Save Our Youth 5K Walk/Run – Fun Family Activities
The Livonia Police Department and the Livonia Save Our Youth Coalition present the 2019 Run 2 Save Our Youth and Family Fun Fest. This is on Saturday, June 1 from 7 – 10 a.m. The run, which includes a 5K run, 10K run, 5K non-timed walk and a FREE Kids’ Fun Run, will take place at Livonia City Hall. All proceeds benefit Livonia Save Our Youth Coalition substance abuse prevention activities in our community.
There will be a bounce house, music, kid-friendly activities and sponsor tent. Finisher medals for the 5K run, trophies for overall winners, medals for age group winners. This is a certified course with professional timing and more! You can also form a team – organize a crew of your family, friends or co-workers! Choose your team shirt color by Friday, May 17.
Early packet pick-up on Friday, May 31 from noon – 8 p.m. at the Livonia Save Our Youth office in the Livonia City Hall Annex, 33000 Civic Center Drive. Registration on race day begins at 7 a.m., Kids’ Fun Run begins at
8 a.m. and the 5K Run and 5K Walk start at 8:30 a.m.

Greenmead’s Summer Flea Market – Fun Family Activities
Bring your wagon or cart and shop from 170 vendors at the Greenmead Summer Flea Market on Sunday, June 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Refreshments are available in the Alexander Blue House and from vendors throughout the park. Historic buildings will be open for touring in the afternoon. All proceeds benefit Greenmead. For more information, please call (248) 477-7375. No dogs permitted at this event!
Admission: $3.00 for adults, children under 12 free.
Free parking in the Special Events Parking Lot located on Newburgh Road.

Fourth Annual Ice Cream and Information
Please join us for ice cream sundaes, information and ideas on Thursday, June 13 from 5:45 – 6:50 p.m. at the Kirksey Recreation Center, 15100 Hubbard. Meet and mingle with elected officials, city commissioners, friends and neighbors.
Immediately following the Ice Cream Social, The Livonia Symphony Orchestra is having their FREE “Patriotic & Pops Concert” in the large gym at 7 p.m.
Then take a casual stroll to the large gym and enjoy a wonderful evening of music courtesy of our Livonia Symphony Orchestra.
Livonia Spree 69
Each year the people of Livonia celebrate the anniversary of the founding of the City with a week-long birthday party. This is held at Ford Field at the corner of Farmington Road and Lyndon the last full week in June (25 – 30, 2019). The Livonia Spree has something for everyone in the family! This includes delicious food, great music, and a fantastic family carnival. They also have the Grand Finale Fireworks Extravaganza on Sunday night! The Men and Women of Spree have been working hard to plan another great one!
