Subscription Gifts – Something For Everyone!

I love giving gifts and this time of year is the perfect opportunity for it. Unfortunately my creativity has been waning over the years as I re-buy for the same people over and over again. Luckily, I have found the perfect solution for almost everyone on my list. Today I will share some of my favorite subscription gifts that I plan to gift to family and close friends this year.

Consumables – Subscription Gifts

Things we consume make great gifts. This includes subscriptions of wine, razors, food, coffee, beauty products and more. There is a “book of the month” subscription gift and just about anything else you can think of. If you search “subscriptions” and the interest of someone you know there will be options that pop up. The sky is the limit and subscriptions are truly the gift that keeps on giving!

Experiences – Subscription Gifts

I love to gift experiences to others. What’s nice about a subscription gift is that receiving something each month is an experience by itself! One of my favorite subscriptions this year is a kit for science experiments by Mel Science. Each month for a year, my nieces and nephews will receive one really cool science project in the mail.

I would also include a clothing subscription, such as Stitch Fix or one geared toward kids, like KidBox in this category. Although there is something to physically buy, there is the experience of filling out the online survey and being styled. Flowers are another great experience to gift a loved one. Each month (or whichever frequency you choose) a bouquet of flowers will be delivered to them. Most people love a fresh bouquet of flowers, but won’t justify the cost to purchase for themselves. This is a win-win!

Things To Keep In Mind…

Even though you are likely spreading the cost of your gift out, it doesn’t mean it costs less. In fact a gift subscription may cost you more. So make sure to total up the annual cost of the subscription when you are making purchasing decisions. I tend to focus on my immediate family when agreeing to a long-term purchase. That way if something needs to be tweaked or changed it is someone you are in good communication with! Happy holiday shopping!
