I absolutely LOVE learning new things. I can’t help but feel that I am living in the perfect era for self-education. There are so many things I have learned from the FREE resources readily available to me. If I am ever feeling unmotivated, I try to reset my thinking to what I can do to better my situation. So today, I would like to tell you about some of my go-to ideas.

The Library – Free Ways To Educate Yourself

My first suggestion is to check out your local library. So many people I talk to view this as an old-fashioned resource. But honestly, an afternoon in the library can be just as satisfying as a trip to Barnes & Noble! Plus, you can borrow the content for FREE! There are many books on investments, budgeting, debt reduction and general life improvements.

The Internet – Free Ways To Educate Yourself

Second, I mean, you are reading a blog, right? Although I can’t and don’t believe EVERYTHING I read on the internet, there is quite a bit of reliable information out there. From blogs to articles, there is something for every learning style. Growing in popularity are videos and YouTube Channels packed full of information from experts.

Your Bank 0r Credit Union – Free Ways To Educate Yourself

The first way your bank or credit union can help is to answer any questions you have. Most banks worth belonging too have people on staff who are happy to sit down and help you understand more. Topics I have asked about include, interest rates and loan questions, investment questions and retirement plans. My bank has always been happy to help.

Additionally, many good banks or credit unions hold classes or seminars on popular financial topics. Make sure to ask next time you go in!

Podcasts – Free Ways To Educate Yourself

Last, for the past 18 months I have been ADDICTED to podcasts. Ranging from health and wellness, finances and pop culture. This content is completely free and there are MANY financial podcasts to download. Check them out and get to learning!
