Pay Down Debt – Three Unique Ways To Do It!
Debt can truly hinder your life and thwart your plans for financial success and prosperity. There are many ways to pay down your debt or get out of debt. The common ways include selling things you are not using, getting another job or asking for a raise. Any way to spend less money and/or make more money is a good way to get going. Today I pulled three unique ways to make some extra cash and pay down your debt!
Learn A Skill & Use It To Make Money – Pay Down Debt
The great thing about mastering a skill and selling service to others is that there is little overhead. Most of the money you charge in this scenario will be yours to keep. Many of us have a marketable skill, but if you don’t, you could always learn one. One example would be learning how to use Photoshop Software or tools and editing photos for people. Another idea would be learning how to edge a yard and you could offer some basic landscaping skills to your neighbors.
Flip Something – Pay Down Debt
Flipping something means buying an item for less and then selling it for more than what you paid, therefore creating a profit. Sometimes this entails some work. An example of flipping something that requires some work would be refinishing furniture. Another example would be purchasing a beater car, putting some work into it to spruce it up and then selling it for more than what you paid. You can also flip something without doing any work. My favorite example of this is buying certain clothing at a thrift store and then listing it online to be sold on an app like Poshmark. You may be able to buy a pair of name brand jeans for less than $5 and resell them for $18! If you do this with several items you can really turn a profit.
Embrace Your Talent & Use It To Make Money – Pay Down Debt
You are likely more talented than you think. This doesn’t require a traditional talent such as singing or dancing. Maybe you have a talent when it comes to organizing things or taking care of children. Maybe you are a talented family cook and you could market yourself to meal prep for people. A little talent and a little creativity can go a long way!
