September 2018 Community Events

September 2018 is upon us! We look forward each month to sharing some of our favorite upcoming events. We love being a part of the Livonia Community and it is wonderful that they offer so many activities for our families. Fall is nearly upon us and my kids are almost back to school. It is important to enjoy our community and find something out and about town to enjoy!

City of Livonia American Red Cross Blood Drive

Be a part of a lifesaving journey! The City of Livonia is hosting an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Tuesday, Sept. 4 from 1 – 7 p.m. at the Robert and Janet Bennett Civic Center Library, 32777 Five Mile Road. The need is constant. This is a very important drive that will help stock up blood supplies after the busy summer season.

To schedule an appointment, visit the American Red Cross. In the Find A Blood Drive box, enter sponsor code: “civilservice” or call (800) 733-2767. ANSWER THE CALL! There will be a free gift available of an aluminum water bottle while supplies last.

Open to the public. Give the gift of life!

Please note the Market will not be open on Saturday, September 1.

The Wilson Barn Market is still accepting applications for food growers and cottage food vendors. They are also looking to add a hot dog vendor. If you are a non-profit that is looking to connect with the local community, the Market offers an opportunity each Saturday to use the Barn at no cost.
