Supplies For Small Business – My Recommendations
When I first started purchasing for my small business, it seemed easy! I even rejoiced in managing the sundry or superfluous supply list. However, as we grew, our list of supplies grew as well. Now I am managing everything from toilet paper, to pens, garbage bags and soap! Not only is it more work, but I am busier than ever. I no longer get excited about trips to the store or the “just so you know” email with details about what we are out of. For those reasons, I now sit down once a month with a detailed list, complete an inventory and place my orders.
A Summary Of Companies I Recommend For Supplies:
- Uline: This is a website that has many supplies to choose from! Cleaning, boxes, paper products, coffee and more. Nearly anything I order gets to us the next day. Their customer service is on point and I dare say that I have never had an issue. If you call, you will get a person…and it is likely that the same person who answers the phone can help you. In addition, they offer net 30 billing and will report your on-time payments to a credit reporting agency.
- Amazon: These days, Amazon is almost a given. I especially like that I don’t often have to pay shipping. One of the best deals I get from Amazon is ink (or toner) cartridges for our printers. I get a high-yield off-brand that is a fraction of the price of the office supply stores.
- Costco: They can be hit or miss with items available, but they have wonderful deals on copy paper and garbage bags, as well as coffee fraction packs.
- The Office Connection: This is a local Michigan company and they undercut the competition on many supply prices. They also have many environmentally friendly items, which is a bonus. If they don’t have the things you are looking for, they will actually shop Sam’s Club for you and deliver them to you!
