April 2018 Community Events In Livonia, Michigan

Spring is here (even if the weather hasn’t gotten the memo)! And with spring, comes a fresh wave of community events for you and your family to enjoy. I love getting out this time of year and reacquainting myself with the outside world. Here are just a few of the events we recommend this April in our “hometown” of Livonia, Michigan!

Egg Hunt at Rotary Park

Don’t miss the 2018 Egg Hunt at noon on Saturday, March 31.  The hunt will take place at Rotary Park, located at Six Mile Road and Hubbard Street.

The event is free!  Register the day of the event from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Ages ten and under are welcome (with parent participation) to search for eggs from the Easter Bunny! Co-sponsored by the Livonia Rotary Club, Busch’s Fresh Food Market in Livonia, and Livonia Parks and Recreation.

Saturday Cinema

@ the Robert and Janet Bennett Civic Center Library

Join us every month for a FREE G or PG-rated film in the Bennett Civic Center Library auditorium (sorry, no food or drink allowed). Films may be subject to change. Contact the Library at (734) 466-2493 to confirm titles. No registration required.

(Side Note: What an exciting way to experience a movie that is out of the norm!)

Participate in the LIVONIA VISION 21 Final Presentation

Final Presentation
Wednesday, Apr. 18 from 6 – 8 p.m.
Robert and Janet Bennett Civic Center Library
Michigan Room
32777 Five Mile Road

Description
Come see the results of the design alternatives of the three special planning areas. Also, we will enjoy the presentation.

LIVONIA VISION 21 is going to be the City’s Master Plan. Once it’s complete, the plan will direct policy and future decisions. This includes plans for land use, transportation, neighborhoods, and more!

The public will have many chances to offer ideas. Those “chances” will include online surveys, public meetings, presentations, and workshops.

LIVONIA VISION 21 will identify important places in Livonia to connect. LIVONIA VISION 21 will be an action-oriented plan that identifies steps to take in the next three years. These steps aim to secure the City for the next 100 years.

The City is responsible for updating its plan every five years. With significant public input, the finished product will position Livonia for continued success. In addition, it will confirm the vision and goals of residents and businesses.

We want you to help LIVONIA VISION 21 by sharing your ideas and your vision.
