Christmas Events in Livonia, MI – December 2018
December is almost here and so are some of my favorite events! Livonia always has something to offer for my family, and this season is no exception. There is an event in Livonia for you however you choose to celebrate the season. Check out our recommendations below, including some Christmas events!
Greenmead 30th Annual Christmas Walk
Join the Friends for the Development of Greenmead for their 30th Annual Christmas Walk! It will take place on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The walk features five private homes decorated for the holidays. This includes the Simmons-Hill House decorated in this year’s theme “Storybook Christmas”.
Tickets are $9 in advance and $10 day of the event. You may purchase tickets before the walk at:

Robert and Janet Bennett Civic Center Library, 32777 Five Mile Road
Livonia City Hall, 33000 Civic Center Drive, Community Resources, 5th Floor
Please be prepared to pay with cash or check. On the day of the walk, tickets and maps are available at Civic Center Library and the Simmons-Hill House at Greenmead.

Merry & Bright: Livonia’s Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting
Merry & Bright: Livonia’s Holiday Parade will take place at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2. The parade, presented by the Livonia Community Foundation, will begin at Frost Middle School and end in front of City Hall.
Once at City Hall, Mayor Wright will be joined by Santa and Mrs. Claus for the tree lighting festivities. Afterward, youngsters are invited to visit Santa at the Robert and Janet Bennett Civic Center Library. They can also enjoy crafts, entertainment and refreshments.
This holiday spectacular is presented by the Livonia Community Foundation. It is sponsored in part by Busch’s Fresh Food Market, Rotary Club of Livonia and Livonia Parks and Recreation.
Parking is available at Ford Field, Stymelski Park, and at the Senior Center.

Lunch with Santa
Join us for a Livonia holiday tradition. The annual Lunch with Santa will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 8. It will be at the Civic Park Senior Center, 15218 Farmington Road. The event includes lunch, crafts and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Tickets are $6 for Livonia residents and $9 for non-residents. They may be purchased at the Kirksey Community Recreation Center or online at Livonia Parks and Rec. All attendees over the age of 2 must have a ticket.
