Clothing Sales – Sell Your Used Clothes For Cash!
By the time I get down de-cluttering my house, I have to start all over again! Something I have discovered the last year is that I can resell a lot of my clothing for cash. I always keep a bag in my spare closet for donations, but there are some things it is hard to justify donating when you spent a lot of money on it or it still has life left. I have come up with a few GREAT solutions for selling my clothing this past year!
Four Great Ways To Sell Your Used Clothing:
- Poshmark Or Other Clothing Apps: This is my newest guilty pleasure, and Poshmark is my favorite one so far. Very easy to list and sell things. The buyer pays the shipping and Poshmark takes care of the transaction. I like to take a half hour here or there and take all my photos. Then when I am stuck in line somewhere or there is a commercial break I go through and create my listings. Super simple!
- ThredUp: This company sends me a postage paid mailing bag to fill up with my gently used clothes, accessories and shoes. They will take my kid’s clothes as well. I don’t make as much money here, but some money is better than no money. This is hassle free! Beware that they do take a few weeks (sometimes 4+) to go through your bag.
- Buy/Sell/Trade Groups: There are lots of these on Facebook for certain things. Moms, moms of multiples, Stitch Fix subscribers etc…you would be amazed at what you can find for WAY cheaper than retail!
- Old Fashioned Garage Sale: These take a little work, but my girlfriend and I did pretty well on one this past summer! We priced things simply and didn’t put too much into it. What we didn’t sell, we donated. This is one way to get LOTS of stuff out of your house in a short period of time!
In Closing…
Last but not least, I would also recommend BUYING a lot of your clothing from these options. There are some pieces I have purchased, worn only a few times and then sold for nearly what I paid. This has saved me a bundle on my work wear and I don’t plan to stop bargain shopping any time soon!
